Teaching

At TCO we believe that overt competition should be used sparingly — and with great care — in the classroom. Often a competitive activity, even when guided by True Competition, is not the best choice for facilitating learning.

Still there are times when competition does enter the classroom: whether through the active choice of the teacher, or through the “hidden” competitions — social, academic — that take place between students. True Competition can help in both cases.

Our resources can ensure that you maximize the learning and character benefits of competition when you do invite it into your classroom; they can also help you identify when destructive “decompetition” is occurring among your students.
